I dont like the bently GT at all, I would not even swap may alfa 166 for it, its hideous outside, and most owners, well..............
DB9 on the other hand

Agree, don't float my boat......They just don't look that special....One was in our street the other week and didn't turn heads at all......

No such thing as a factory bodykit for DB9 at the moment though you can technically buy DBS carbon/fibreglass bidy panels. The only panel that is a straight swap is the bonnet (and probably the bootlid on a coupe) - since it was lighter and had extra venting for the engine, I fitted one. The rest of the panels require quite major work, there's more to the DBS than most people think... A chap posted a thread after doing the conversion on PH, reckons the body panels were £20k plus labour and paint, all in all doubled the price of his car. A lot of money for a pretend DBS! He got roasted as well, not positive although it was a very high quality job. This is the chap http://www.paragondesignuk.com/asto... must have been looking at the kakn one......

Dem, 30 to 35k the DB9 just seems a great car for the money.....They don't come more elegant than a DB9....

you still need to pay £37k for a nice one but give it another year and they will be bargin of the century......

37k for a DB9 is very appealing, i am not the DB9's biggest fan but for that price it is in a class of it's own. 997 Carrera's have lost a lot of money, the start from round 23k now.

didn't think DB9 were this cheap, its the misses all time fav, think if she had her way I would be swapping. for me it would have to be DBS, its what the DB9 should have started with

I would choose a Vantage over a DB9, especially a Vantage roadster, silver, red leather, red hood, gorgeous. I saw a DB7 Vantage today, coupe, thought it looked nice, a future classic, just not a fan of the interior. I really dont like the early DB7's, it has to be a DB7 Vantage or GT Coupe, not Valante with the pram hood.

Vantage roadster for my girl......
Can you put the DBS lights on tye DB9??

The clear rears introduced for the DBS became standard on the DB9 around 2010 I think. But they can be retrofitted and really improve the look of the car in certain colours;

Same her Adam...Love the V8 Vantage but the only thing that appeals to me having a DB9 over it is the rear seats...Small I know but then I have two small children so they would be handy.

I think I would take a vanquish over a DB9 or v8 vantage (would take a DBS over almost everything) I know it a bit old school interior and earlier cc box rubbish, but a manual mmmmmmmmmmmmm, and quicker than a DB9, and maybe a DBS i cant remeber. It feels like the last old school AM, and for me this and the maserati are not everyday cars, they are for weekend, for that special feeling

Lewis, what is colour name for your car?? Is it Darwent Green??

It's Chiltern Green Adam, a DB7 colour, Derwent Green is much darker. My colour is a cross between California Sage (50s racing colour) and Aston Racing Green (modern racing colour) I'd say. It's perfect for me but surprisigly hard to capture in a picture!

The Vanquish is faster than them all with 520bhp... but only when it works. 6 monthly service and big bills as its halfway between the DB7 (lots of Jag parts which aren't up to the job) and the DB9 (modern chassis). It is the last true Newport Pagnell Aston but running costs are as an absolute minimum, twice the DB9 and more likely to be 4 times. However, zero depreication and even becoming an appreciating asset... The perfect car would be the Vanquish S with the Works Service manual conversion. The robotic manual is just a liability.

Dem, it's fuse 22. Makes a difference at low revs but you soon get used to it, then it's new backbox time!

Just been looking at DB7's, i like this, have to be a Vantage for me.

The DB7 Vantage is a lovely car. A manual GT is the pick of the bunch, very close to the Vanquish DB9 manual in performance. A modern classic that drives like a classic modern!
