Deposit paid on a quattroporte

Just put a deposit on a late 2017 quattroporte Diesel transport. It’s in Nero black with Sabbia interior. 21” titano wheels. I hope diesel owners are welcome on here as I should imagine it’s a bit controversial having an oil burner in a Maserati!!
It’s got 26k miles, full history,2 new Pirelli tyres on back, and new front brake pads.
Traded in a Range Rover velar.
Hope it’s ok

A big welcome. All are welcome on here. Make sure you post pictures when you can.

Heretic, a diesel Maserati ;)
That said, the world would be a boring place without heretics so well done you - and a very nice colour combination too. Welcome to the QP VI fraternity, and as Andy says don't forget the obligatory pics.

I personally think they're lovely. Saw one they exact same spec yesterday. Seriously considering it as my next work car.
Has such a presence on the road.

I think it needs a remap for more power though.

Looks very nice indeed. I think we have a deviant members section somewhere for diesel owners. ;)

That's the one I had saved in my favourites on Auto Trader! Lovely!

Be interested to hear what you think of Auto 100, they always seem to have some decent cars for sale.
so far they seem ok. Strange not being able to go and look at the car before you put a deposit on it.

I did read a few bad reviews on that problem.
They put a 12 month warranty on it plus the 3 months it comes with. Probably not worth the paper it’s written on but it might come in use full.

They only invoke a warranty if something is broken and not working. It won't affect you, but they would not cover my variators as the car had not failed. The warranty was only upto a value of 1300ish quid too. Because I had an inspection they said it was the inspectors fault. I didn't know I should have stripped the engine to carry out internal checks! The director/owner is horrible and blamed me for damaging the engine after 80 miles. Do all your checks and don't believe what they tell you. On the flip side they do have lovely 1 owner low miles cars at reasonable prices so I would buy again from them but with more due diligence.

Fingers crossed it’s ok. I’m guessing the engine and gearbox are pretty bomb proof on the diesel. It seams to be used in a lot of other vehicles.

Congrats and welcome to 'the family'.
I believe that there are a lot of things you can do with exhausts these days,
to make them sound more like the petrol version. Haven't a clue of specifics
unfortunately.
Happy trails ;)
