I agree andy, that style works for me in a retro way..........in the black it makes the car really mean looking too

Thats my point Andy...I can't see the detail of the wheels as there is no definition between them, the tyres and the car...maybe they would look better in silver.

I am not a massive fan of those wheels on the GT (the black ones). I think they've also put about 25mm of spacers on the wheels to make it more aggressive - along with the darkened rear lights etc make it a bit gangster for a GT!

Nothing wrong with the style and agree the black looks .. Well mean as Highlander put it. I would prefer a lighter coloured wheel.

Quite like the de-chrome look but the wheels are just a bit too lary for my (admittedly dull and middle aged) tastes.

Good to see the prices are holding up. Not that I think they'll get £40k for that when the 4.7's are just a notch or two above.

Doesn't work for me I'm afraid. It's like trying to make a Maserati look like a blinged up Ferrari,.... and I have nothing against black cars with black wheels....;)

Another in the "No" camp here for black wheels.

IMO, nothing beats a clean set of OEM silver wheels which really seem to "pop" against any colour, especially black.

Black wheels always give the appearance/perception to me that the rims are dirty.

Would never put anything but OEM wheels either on a Maser.

Thanks Andy, they are the OEM centrelock wheels that come with the GTS as standard. This car has been booted out of the garage onto the driveway now as the Mas GT S lives indoors.

I think black/dark wheels on a Mas look very "now" but long term the standard alloy colour will always look more classic. They do suit more racy cars such as your M car, which looks to me as if it is bruising for a fight! Just the right gap between the wheel arch and tyre also.
