Congrats on your new purchase! Hoping to join you in the ranks of Spyder owners soon when the right one comes on to the market (and hasn't already been promised to someone else!)

From what I've picked up here I think it's probably helpful to think about what the clutch is doing at a point in time. For example far as I understand it (and I could be wide of the mark) when you're crawling in traffic at under ?10 mph it'll be part engaging the clutch to maintain that sort of speed. So think about whether it makes more sense to try to roll forward in neutral where possible letting the gap in front open and close a bit more.

That said received wisdom is that no clutch lasts for ever so don't ruin the drive by constantly fretting about what it's up to. Not that I would know from experience...yet!

Enjoy

Cheers

That about sums it up. Take care of your clutch but don't let it ruin your life. Thrash it and when it goes, it goes, get it fixed, carry on. They are great cars especially with a bit (lot) of noise following you about. Good luck with your quest.

I like to know what might cause me a problem but I never let it stop me enjoying what I have :)

Benny,
Somebody else once said you were sane, I think it was at the Xmas party, we all laughed at whoever it was, I'm sure you did too, but then we all forgot what we were laughing at, it just came back to me..!!

The later 42's and GS's were not that bad for scuttle shake, a lot better than the early ones..!!

To be fair who wants to be sane or the same as everyone else. Driving the cars we drive makes us all unique and that's the group to be in. It is addictive though and sometimes you can't sleep. Phil.
