Hi all,
A couple of weeks ago I drove my QP to a quiet industrial estate car park to get some space and time to set the QP up the way I wanted it
Miles instead of km wing mirror positioning when reversing etc etc
It took about 15 minutes to do what I needed to do
It was a sunny day god was in his heaven, Boro were winning and all was right with my little world.
I did the adjustments and kept the QP running while I did so, just to listen to the lovely noise on idle.
Set off for home and about 5 minutes into the journey 'PING' engine warning light go to dealer etc
I got it on my drive (about 12 miles away and put the Autel diagnostic on.
It revealed a Catalytic Converter fault
I reset it and have had no bother since
I can only assume it was the prolonged engine running with no movement.
The moral is (quite rightly) do not idle in a Maser
