Failed door seal

Any other MC20 owners suffered a failed door seal? Oddly it’s failed on the less used passenger door. I’ve shown both to see the difference. I suspect the notch makes the seal susceptible to tear, assuming it’s supposed to be there? Not the end of the world but odd it tore itself so early….

That looks like two separate seals. I think you can see the gap on the other side. It’s just come unglued by the looks of it. Welcome to the world of “plastic” car ownership! ;)

You can’t really see but the loose one has a tear, the other is connected at rear.

Could it be anything to do with the recent heatwave with it being the passenger door , dried out , stuck to the frame then ripped when opened

My old 4200 had a torn door seal so I thought I'd get a new one, £900 came as a bit of a surprise so I got a puncture repair kit from halfords

Mine's (Cielo) has now been in the dealership for as long as I had it post-delivery - 4 weeks to fix a stereo and so far they've no idea when they'll get the parts from the factory. C'mon Maserati! You've the chance to improve your reputation immeasurably, please don't blow it!

Apparently they're having generally bad parts supply issues, but aren't helping themselves by the "ahhh luigi we try this part and then if it no right, we send you another part to try" - rather than 'here are the 2 or 3 parts - they're fairly modest, not expensive, see what works and send any spares back'. When you're spending this amount, something a bit better is expected.

Minor rant over (not enough swearing, I know), Maserati UK are on the case with the factory apparently. I await progress...
