Fifty shades of.....

On your blue I'd go silver as well. Not too bright though. They look pretty good as they are though I guess you could go a shade or two darker8 (sorry... I know from experience that when you're handing over cash you want something other than the same old thing in return!).

On which note... I have the same question for a Grigio Alfeiri (mid-silver / grey) GTS. I'm on Mercury at the mo and they look ok bur actually look better when they're coated with brake dust and a bit darker. I'm tempted by gun-metal satin. Thoughts?

(this crowd-designing / ask the audience concept is pretty good  )

Adam - have you thought of going to black? Matt or satin? I think the contrast would look stunning...certainly you'll be ok going darker with your car colour.

Not entirely sure what colour mine are but they look great against the silver, I mean Grigio Touring.

FWIW I would keep the silver with the blue colour. I think it would be tricky to get the right dark colour to go with it.

Remember if you do consider a colour change, you will need to match the centre caps. If they can't be bought in the exact colour, they can be tricky to paint due to the stick on silver trident badge getting in the way

Not sure black would work on mine with the chrome windows trim and handles. That said I'm tempted by darker. Voicey's matt Grigio Silverstone wheels looks great with the Grigio Silverstone paint on his 430. I'm sold on satin but the shade is the harder decision. Thoughts? This is the start point:

First GTS I drove was Grigio Touring with black wheels and it looked amazing.

As regards with the blue, having seen the pictures with the grey wheels it looks really good. Different from with silver but no worse. Less elegant, more sporty. I'd err towards grey rather than silver.

Although that works, looking at all the posted pics I think silver looks better on the blue and grey suits the cars that are grey or black. Think I will be sticking, especially when you add in silver door surrounds and handles that wouldn't tie in.

I think some of the GS 's had ball polished alloys... which I thought looked really cool.. (no idea how easy it is to keep them looking that good)....

Never seen it as an option / done on the Neptune style wheel...But if you're sticking with silver and the chrome surrounds it might just make it a little different...

Got a feeling that a ball polished look might work better with the birdcage design than the Neptunes tho...

Just a thought..

Depends how acceptable bling is received in your neighbourhood.
Here's an alternative thought, what about shadow ( or is it shadow-line? ) which I've seen in photos of 2 GS's. Mercury inner surfaces to hide brake dust & silver outer.
Something I'm considering for my car.

Here is a picture of my GS with Grigio Mercury wheels. I think it works extremely well with darker colours!

I personally think the Mercury wheels work well with blue, silver trim and handles notwithstanding.

Can you post the said photos Bruce? Curious to see what you mean.

A GT joined a group of us visiting the lakes a few years ago. That had ball polished wheels and looked fantastic.
