mate inherited 131 1600 (mirafiori?) from parents in 1987. I thought it was rather handsome, lovely dark blue paint with light blue velour.
Likely graduation present after our RAF apprenticeship. Suspect it dissolved in the rain after a few years at RAF Coltishall

I decided to order a cheap portable sand blaster, will give it a try in the next few days, interweb is simply fantastic how did we cope before the www

I wouldn’t even consider sand blasting anything inside your lovely clean garage.
Parents had a 131 supermirafiori back in 1978 when I passed my test, mum loved it as it had a bit of oomph, was first car I drove after passing test.the 131 supermirafiori are pretty cars in my eye, never really liked the 132's and the argenta which is probably non existent now

you must remember the orange 131 sports, rare as hens teeth now, think they were also available in a metallic gun metal grey as well
Yes, sure there was one at a car show I went to a couple of years ago, but cant remember where, will have to look at my pics.you must remember the orange 131 sports, rare as hens teeth now, think they were also available in a metallic gun metal grey as well
nice, is that a sport or a racing?

I think it’s a sport, there’s also something in the back of my mind that it still exists and someone tried to pass it off as an Abarth a few years ago.
doesn't surprise me, a lot of rogues out there in the classic car field trying to pass off fake cars and claiming cars are the real deal when they're not
Daft thing is you’d have thought there’d be value in it being a pukka period 131 sport rally car with a load of victories and the British road rally championship to its name rather than an “ordinary” Abarth.
