hi guys, sorry for making this a thread but it really touched me i felt i had to tell you all......
we never went anywhere this year for a holiday and never had a honeymoon and with a baby on the way it looks like next year wont be a big one either......
i had a phone call yesterday that made me cry.....then laugh and celebrate......
i invited an old friend, i havent seen him in 5 years but email and phone a few times a year......
hes worth 50 million, hes in property and exporting health and beauty products and in the old days we were out every night chasing skirts and drinking together.....
he could not make the wedding as he was setting up his factory in china and i was upset but he did explain that it was impossible to leave as he was in meetings with people that were coming over to see him and he couldnt leave.....even though he knew about it from jan....thats what upset me but oh well **** happens.....
he rang me up reminding me he never gave me a wedding present and he wanted to.......
i jokingly said "how about the DB9 volante you have that you never drive over here?" and to which he said..............................................................................
NO!!
but.....he wants to pay for a holiday for us......so he offered us a trip to china all expenses paid.....i said yes, christina said no...apparently the long flight aint good for her so had to ring him and tell him i cant accept and then he offered us a holiday in south of france......a client of his has a hotel in menton, on the french riveira, a 4 star with a pool, and well i said yes to that.....
hes paid for flights, hotel and wait for it, rent a car from the airport......
so while over there we have a car, and we plan on going monaco and st tropez and even enter italy.....
but the icing on the cake is.......he said he had a present from his parents which sadly they too did not come, so after taking my bank details down, i looked and they wired in £500....so thats spending money.......well almost but nearly there......
shame this never happened last week as i could have done with that money to pay for a course and other things but oh well i plan on taking advantage now.....
we leave on sun morning.....and return next sun.....
any ideas on where to go i appreciate it......not on long mountainous roads though as we only in a twingo....
