Interesting to note the difference in price from cabriolet to a coupé and that they all seem to be LHD.
did alfa just make these for the Italian market?

All are LHD Adam...The convertable is the more sorted car as they changed the bits that were criticised on the coupe...Pretty sure they didn't make as many convertables as the coupe.

I must say I do have a problem with the way these beautiful cars come through. It seems to mean that the first owners had no connection with them, the purchase was just a pissing contest, they cruise around Notting Hill for a year and then move on to the next shiny new exotic. Sad.

there are varying degrees of ownership and the first has to be "the pissing contestant" in most cases.
followed by the "ill be buggered if i pay new prices and suffer the initial depreciation" gang.
then its "hard earned money but i`m paid well enough so can afford it"
and then its"I have saved for ages and then went through a divorce to get this one" (thats me)
then its "some poor sod needed the cash so i made a really low offer"

Agree Miles..The trouble with this car is that it was bought but the quick buck brigade as it was rare and very limited. Plus as you say it was the latest Kings road fashion statement. Now I sure they have all moved onto the next fashion statement...Audi R8 Spyder maybe...

Its a beautiful car guys you have to hand it to them.. It takes me back to my Alfa GTV6 days. I loved that car I used to think I was driving a poor mans ferrari. I guess coming round to a Maserati is a full circle type of thing.

what made you all buy Maserati's??

For me it was wanting to be different and wanting a car with Soul in it. Something very difficult to find these days.

Maserati is a passion and no matter what you buy it never fills that gap.....There are better cars than Maserati, cars that handle better, cars that are faster..The M5 being one of them...but none of them are Maserati. None of them have the passion, the pride or the occasion when you drive them. No other..and I mean no other including Ferrari...has the passion as Maserati. Even in the bi-turbo days I lusted after the Marque and that never goes away. I love Lotus, M cars and Maserati but Maserati will always rise to the top.

Not sure but I think there was less Spiders that came into the UK than coupes.

The 8C was intended to be around £100,000. The only reason prices spiralled was because of the state of the pound against the Euro at the time
