A new one reaches these sunny shores -

http://www.carsales.com.au/dealer/details/maserati-3200gt-2001-13199708

Seemingly number 34 of 75 with one of the poorest descriptive write ups of such a vehicle ever seen!! An interesting price too. The only other AC that is for sale over here - the infamous white one - is the same price but has been for sale for probably the best part of 2 years now and remains unsold so it'll be interesting to see how long this one lasts up at this price given it's a trader and he'll be looking to move it on in somewhat less than 2 years I'm sure!!!

Cheers

Hopefully someone can send their Granturismo over to Oz for the same price.

I'll be the first to buy! lol

....and I'd be the second!! Usual oft-discussed story of anything vaguely interesting car-wise being astronomically priced. Shows you how lucky you UK folks are with choice and price. Ah well, at least we have sun I guess :)

Adam - it'd be interesting to hear what you think about the car given your knowledge of the beasties!!

Unfortunately we can't import Granturismos, exception being if you have owned and used for twelve months overseas.

Thought I would give myself a Fathers Day treat yesterday and dropped in to look at this AC.
The car is in desperate need of a good clean, a thorough detail, and wheel refurbishment.
For that asking price it should be well presented, but sadly it is not.
Quoting "The Castle", "tell him he's dreaming"!
No wonder it is still for sale.

Father's Day in Australia and New Zealand.
Is that not celebrated in the UK at some other time of the year?
I think being given the AC would have been a nice present!
I was surprised the black paintwork is metallic.
Is yours like that?

Out of interest, what is the import duty, shipping cost and any other taxes etc for sending a 3200 to Aus and registering it?

This will give you a good indication
- about 30% of the converted GBD price, then you need to add local compliance costs which average $10k AUD. Reg/trf costs allow another $2k max

As to the local sell value of a 3200, thats another story.
