Chaps,

The mapping on the ECM will be dependent on the model and fuel type requirements from the customer. Additionally the mapping will be dependent on what the original customer wanted from the ECM. If i remember correctly MaserSod had his ECM optimised for torque rather than top end BHP.

I run the ECM on my QP, and the difference is huge and does transform the power delivery of the car.

Thanks

Noor

I've got the ECM (and DBW) optimised at 98 RON - makes a real difference around 5.5k RPM as the "kick" from 4.5K extends further into the rev range..... I'd definitely recommend it....when I installed this and the DBW it felt like I had a different car for the first couple of weeks... much more urgent and responsive

only negative would be, which has nothing to do with the ECM itself, is that like all power "tweaks", you become accustomed to it in time....doesn't stop us though, does it ;)

I am happy to confirm that I am now the proud owner of MaserSod's FD ECM! :D (some misunderstanding along the way, but well worth the wait!)

It's with Jeff at FD, who will update it for 98 RON, I think I want to stick to torque vs. bhp, as I rarely get past 100mph on our highways. Thoughts?

Too bad I won't be able to enjoy it for a while. Jeff also wants me to send him my DBW so they are both updated and that it is running the newer version of the harness.

Exciting stuff!!!

Big thanks to Pat and Loz!
