Well after several weeks intheir eurospares packet I've now fitted the bushes. Easy job once front wheels are removed. Symptoms were slight knocking over rough surfaces or mild potholes. Not had time to test drive yet but all seems ok and hopefully cured the problem. Cost £60 all in and took about 40mins per side working slowly.

Andy. Did you consider upgrading the front ARB to the AC variant? Will be discussing with Miles when I take her to Emblem for a major service. I don't want the car any harder, but the roll on country roads is one of the few 3200 let downs for me.

White noise are you implying that after all that, poor Andy takes it off again ,:frusty5: i know Andy and the guy has probably been :read2: and Psyching himself up to do it for weeks, lets let him enjoy the fruits of his labour and the smooth boaty ride before we talk him into to doing the whole thing again with an uprated ARB

Ahh yes Loz.... Was Reading up on it and psyching up. Albeit it's a smallish job. Main thing was to avoid scratching the grigio nube wheels lol (yes yes that one year only 1983 Alfa colour I arsed about for months before getting them done hehe). I'm not a particularly fast driver and am happy with the handling. Although it is lacking a little in the area you describe whitenoise. I'll do the pics when I've driven it again just to ensure alls well. No chance today as out with kids in camper ( the autosleeper "Trident" ) of course. One thing I did notice was one of the pilot sports was worn particularly on inner edge. Off to local mid Devon tyres monday 10.30am to spend some wadge. They quoted what I thought was reasonable £160ish all in Inc balance and fitting etc per tyre. Bizarrely the ps2 is more expensive than the new ps3 which they have an offer on.

Might be worth a quick geo aswell Andy if the tyres are starting to wear unevenly , sorry to spend your hard earned but might save you more in the long term

Well done chap! The 3200 does like to eat inner edges even when well set up, lots of negative camber? You could lean harder on them during corners with that stiffer ARB ;)

loz, no such implication! Each to their own and I would need to make sure that an ARB upgrade won't turn the car into something it should not be. I was just clumsily asking if anyone had tried it.

Only joking White noise , i summised it was a biigish thing for Andy to take on , and just had this memory flash of him, scratching his head thinking Assettoe corsa ARB what a good idea , brought a smile and a chuckle to my face no ridicule intended mate was tounge in cheek hehe

Loz, taken in the spirit in which it was meant. It's going to take some convincing for me not to do it, so subject to Miles' "nod" I will get it done as soon as the cost of a major service + cambelt has been absorbed. It looks relatively straight forward, but I will post some pictures if and when I have done the job!

I've had this creaking, sometimes more metallic grinding from the driver side front area ( suspension) since I got the car, started out changing a drop link.....made no difference, then took off the anti-roll bar lubed up the bushes, seemed to help for a while. Then changed the lower front suspension arm bushes.......made no difference. Shall I change the anti-roll bar bushes as Andy did above( assuming they worked....Andy??).........or just live with my own private suspension orchestra????!!!!

Its a 4200......much the same set-up/common issue in both models?
