so i got the car back with the dealer finally having fixed the paint issue and now the passenger seat wont adjust. none of the controls work (drivers seat works fine)
anyone got any ideas before I send the car back for the umpteenth time?
Never looked on the maser myself, but have you had a good poke around under the seats for loose connectors? I've had them come off on a couple of cars now, something gets caught when the seats motoring and it pops a connector.
Think theres also a separate fuse for each seat - might want to check that out.
If it was a 4200, I'd also check that the seat is properly back. I have an issue with mine that it stops working, unless I tilt the back forward, then lock it back again.
ok so checked the connector it looks fine, tried the seat reset (ie back and forward quickly on the control) and got nothing. Will have a look at the fuse later
You can try disconnecting the battery and also check no change has dropped down in the runner and is stopping the operation, happened to me once, very embarrassing :-(
My QP returned from a service at a main dealer with the drivers seat loose which there is no reason for. The seat control unit is around £500. What I know for sure is that quite often with diagnostics they swap parts between cars to find faults.
Ok so I looked at the fuse box in the boot and there is a fuse physically missing ie there is a space for a fuse which is absent. Is this normal ? Will google the fusebox and see what that fuse does
