Does anyone have any comments or experience of the above? Not for a Masser, that level of electronic sophistication isn't required with a good old fashioned key.

Presumably you have other visible deterrents? I had one, along with a disk lock steering wheel lock.
It depends what you want it to do really. I suppose it would stop the more sophisticated remote key cloning or whatever it is, but won’t stop someone coming in to get the keys, or rather they’d have to come back in for the code (speaking from experience…)
I didn’t have any electrical issues after the original install but after it was returned the occasional off/on again was needed, and I’m convinced it was the garage that ‘repaired’ it.
It’s a minor inconvenience when you’re using the car each day, but for the sake of a few hundred pounds it could give some peace of mind.

Thanks, I'm just exploring the options along with the different types of trackers. It seems a great idea, until they come back in for the codes....

Reading an Audi forum it seems the default for alarms is 15 seconds which is enough time for an odb connector to recode a key after smashing the driver’s window, Audi will change this to 0 if you ask.. something like that is worth asking about, and removing that fuse too! Of course the window sticker they also provide probably isn’t going to be noticed by any potential thief.
