Good old ABS

I’ve been working all this on and off for the last year, still haven’t been able to drive this car since I bought it. So I’ve changed both the ABS sensors. This is due to the transmission going into standby when reaching 2500 revs or also. I can send the ECU off to have it looked at with some guys. I found on eBay but also it’s been suggested that the phonic rings may need a wire brush so the question is once I get the castle knocked off at the front can I give it a tap and get to the phonic rings from the back or do I have to remove the whole hub? If anyone has an answer to this, please let me know.

If 3200 you can wriggle out the rear drive shafts. Front can be cleaned from back of disc. Hope that helps

I have yet to find anyone that can repair the 3200 ABS ECU an I gave tried as far afield as the Netherlands. I managed to get a brand new one from a fellow owner but they are very expensive. I did contact Bosch and they said that if I return it to them through one of their service partners they will look at it and either repair (if possible) or provide a new one.

My Brera ECU went back to Bosch to repair, was a reasonable price but took about three months.

Did you send it directly Alan or did you send it via a Bosch service partner ? I am having my rear shocks rebuilt by Bilstien but in not sure of the price yet.

It went via an Independent garage, tried two places who said they could repair it but then couldn't, then it was sent directly to Bosch by the Independent.

Sorry for the delay, eventually found the invoice. Automobile electrician, whatever they did, programming it to the car etc £300 and Bosch repairs, that is all the invoice said, which included sending it to Germany £200.
