Hi all,

Just back after traffic jam from he'll on A34....
Anyway, thought the Alfa was different, although not sure on the Matt Paint, when we were their a guy was trying to keep it clean :)

Got to speak with Murray Walker about the TT, whilst at signing of his latest book! A true gent who was genuinely happy to chit chat!!
Regarding the Jaguar Centre Display... Mmmm not sure, Alfas was better last year IMO..

A Great Day. !

I am sorry Dem but it is so fussy. Not for me, it wont sell either, 45-50k for an Alfa, dont make me laugh.

Oh it will sell Adam, 50k is a lot of money, but there are a lot of Alfa fans out there who have stuck with the marque even as the cars literally fell apart around them. Rumour is a total production run of 15000 worldwide. About 3000 a year. Easy.
Of course, this assumes Alfa deliver on the promise of the concept...

You have to admire their ambition, but I think they may have bitten a little bit more off than they can chew trying to develop so much product in such a short period...

And the Panamera, it is not pretty but is selling well worldwide. Also, would you buy a Lotus saloon over a QP??

Lotus are looking to build an Esprit, 80k, that will not sell, 15k more than a 911, same price as an Aston V8. People will not spend 80k on a Lotus regardless of how great it is, the Evora at 50k is much cheaper and that is not a big seller, i have never seen one on the road.

Oh Adam, there are some well heeled Lotus faithful that'll buy a Gallardo look-a-like that handles.
And don't forget the the Air Asia connection and two* F1 teams bringing the name back to the world audience. If just 0.01% of the UK public bought the new products they'd go bust, however, if 0.01% of Asia bought they'll be a sensation.

And on that note, people pay £50k for a Lotus (Evora or SC Exige with toys) they'll defo pay £50k for the 4C.

*ok, the Jury is still out on quite how many Lotus teams there are....

Remember the launch of the Volvo T5?
Wouldn't have worked without BTCC.
The power of marketing.

4C reminds me of a TVR Tamora with a hard roof..... I like it, not sure about the matt paint but I guess there will be other options?

Just had another look over the 4c....Funny how we all see something different in design..Can not see the Tamora in it myself...................Will say though I do like the Tamora

When my local Lotus dealer was also a TVR dealer they had a Tamora with a T350 front end.......That looked really nice and it was in yellow Adam.....TVR should have made them all like that as it really suited it...
