In any case, I can well understand Jacqueline's surprise and disappointment at the responses that a perfectly sensible, informative post elicited, so on behalf of the forum I'd like to apologise and hope that she will stick around, continue to contribute and - perhaps - 'appreciate' the sense of humour and ribaldry that tends to cut through much of what's discussed here.
Speaking as one of the women on this forum, I do anything to encourage other ladies to stay on here! Some women have bigger testicles than others. Hence my first comment on this post.

And lo, the god of your GTS shall be pleased, the demonic seat motor gremlin shall be smited and it shall move again!back on topic, one of the things i need to fix before selling is that since i got it back from the garage after the subframe being fixed is the front seat..........i just cant get it right and i know i have not grown! i had tried most of the advice J referred to and no joy. after reading her OP, i tried a gentle reminder to the motor but not as lucky as her it seems so the search goes on.

You just cannot get a decent purchase on those slimy things. They're ok for abusing those idiotic co-workers as they don't leave any bruising but no good for adjusting the molecules of a tight motor.
