The GranCabrio is such a beautiful car and now it has that extra bit of grunt may well be worth considering. I think the residules will always be better than the coupe even thouglh the GTS is probably still quicker. Are they going to give this upgrade to the standard GTS or does one still have to go for the impractical Stradale

For nearly any car of consequence if in cabrio form, due to small production numbers, the premium over the coupe have been hugh......from 50% to100% to even more, am sure the Gran cabrio will be no different in 40 yrs time.......

Interesting that the GranCabrio has the 4.7 V8, the California the 4.3 V8. The California is slightly lighter, but a full second quicker from 0-60. Are FIAT completely obsessed with not letting Maserati get close to Ferrari in performance terms?
It's getting a little out of hand, given that a top-end maser is now in the six-figure bracket and thus 'proper' exotica. Or is it that the Maserati engineers are not very good at their jobs?

It aint the engineers.....its just politics......faster than a ferrari wont happen....not ever for an italian car unless its a rival like lambo

To be honest the standard GT is not a 'fast' car against others......I know 0-60 deosn't mean much but it is a measure that is used and anything over 5 seconds is not competative these days and yes it's not all about speed...But when you see that the GS is a quicker car its like a backward step in performance....but a step forward in comfort and design.....Although I still prefer the inteior on the GS to the GT.....GT has a little Germanic feel to it ... Just a little mind....
