Rich, make sure you get a clutch wear reading on any car you intend to buy - it can be done electronically.

Most trade dealers will give you some kind of warranty, which - despite of course being part of the price - will give you some confidence that they are not pushing a lemon onto you.

Hi Rich,

No contest question, buy the Maserati. Mercedes are like confetti nowadays, nothing unusual, Maserati on the other hand?? When you throw your keys on the table with all the others, you can always be assured the maserati will stand out from the crowd. (Not saying your a swinger or anything) You will get bored with the Merc very quickly compared to a Maserati. Go on, you know you want to!!

Cheers

It is a good idea to get a clutch reading, but should be treated as a very rough estimate of clutch wear...
better to feel how it drives and how the gears engage, so try different cars if you can to get an idea.

Hi Rich, have you posted the same question on any Merc forums. Would be interesting to view the advice from Merc owners!
