A few months ago when I needed a full new set for the MCV, the only ones available in the UK were Michelin Pilot Super Sports. Pirelli and Goodyears were not available. I only use the car in the dry and am happy with the Michelins so far.

Response from Goodyear and Pirelli, confirming they no longer have Gransport tyres

Goodyear -
In size 265/30R19 93Y we no longer list a tyre tuned around a Maserati. We used to produce the 265/30ZR19 93Y EAGLE F1 GS-D3 XL ROF MA but this ceased production some years ago.

In size 235/35ZR19 91Y EAGLE F1 GS-D3 XL ROF MA again this tyre used to be produced.

These tyres are of Run on Flat construction.

Unfortunately we do not produce a set of tyres front/rear in your combination.

Pirelli -

Good morning David,
Unfortunately, in the sizes 265/30ZR19 (93Y)XL and 235/35ZR19 (91Y)XL the P ZERO ROSSO has been phased out of our range which means we no longer produce these tyres.
We would suggest contacting Maserati direct for a suitable alternative as it is them that approve what tyres/brands are fitted to their vehicles.

So, it would appear Michelin Pilot Sport 4S, is the only realistic option to maintain the cars value and performance, unless anyone has a different view?.

Looks like I will be keeping the pair of new F1 GS fronts I have in the shed then.

Feck knows what Ill have to do for the rears, keep an eye out for part warns I guess.

A friend in the US has always used Continental on his GS. I assume he's happy with them. Not sure what the SM opinion of the brand is though?

Given that the Michelin option is perfectly good anyway, I really don't see the problem.

Michelin Pilot Sport 4S are cracking tyres. I think I'll try them on the 4200 next time round.

I may be interested, but would need delivery to Kendal.
I am struggling to find tyres form my Gransport,
with Pirelli and Goodyear no longer supplying.
What do you have on yours currently?
PS what condition are they in?

Thats a bugger...I travel to Troutbeck on Friday from near Swindon... but no chance anything else will fit in the boot with the cases and spare wheel in my GS.

Not got a trailer?
what tyres do you currently have fitted?
I have narrowed the search down to Falken 510 or Michelin Pilot Sport 4S. £500 vs £ 800.
As I may sell the car I am concerned about compromising.
Pop in for a brew if you have time - I am just on the edge of Kendal Helsington Laithes Manor LA9 5RJ 01539 741253

Goodyear have told me unsuitable to have mix of 2 and 3's as cant get rears and fronts same.

Would shipping to Kendal be feasible?

If so what condition are they in?

David

Tyres are advertised in the SM classified adds with all details, shame as my better half travelled to Scotland today as was stopped at Tebay services at 3.00pm.

The Falken 452s are a great tyre and these are perfect. The only reason I changed them is I have had the wheels refurbished and got a full set of Michelin PSS at good money.

If your selling the car these would fit the bill.
