GranTurismo Central Locking

Hi all, I promise I did do a quick search but couldn't find anything relating to a GT.

So I did some pre-MOT checks on the GT this afternoon and noticed when I pressed unlock that it was already unlocked - now it won't lock on the fob or via the key. Alarm arms and diasarms (gives lots of indicator flashes when armed) but the central locking isn't activating. I'm charging the battery at the moment and will stick the Foxwell on it tomorrow but other than a battery reset has anyone seen this before?

Battey wasn't flat and it started fine.....so a little confused!

Change the batteries in the fob and was it cold? The locks may be frozen.

Try flooding the locks with WD40 and working the locks with the key.

Also check the manual door open buttons. Are they stuck in a bit? Are they seized?

I use a pick tool on the underside to prise them out.

Thanks Matt, wasn't cold - well 7 deg - I will check the door buttons in the morning. Central locking buttons inside have no effect either but boot release works ok so will do some more digging.

Nope, not a squeak even........I did check the fuse :)

So I'll bow to Matt, but my guess is it's going to be ECU related :(

You could try to put 12v on one of the modules see if they activate, but pretty sure they will. It's just not getting a signal :(

Disconnect the battery for an hour (don’t shut the boot)

Then lock, unlock then press and hold boot button till it pops.

This resets the seats, window drop and the soft touch door handles.

Is that part of the new forum rules. If you bow do you get additional behaviour points to delay being banned?
