GranTurismo front number plate mounting

Hi chaps, can anyone enlighten me as to how a normal sized front number plate is normally mounted please ?

I had stuck mine on using some Sugru but it's finally decided to come off. I have no bracket, which seemed a bit strange, so am wondering if there is anything out there that I can buy - is this a standard Maserati part ?

Hi Ren. There is a number plate hanger / frame which it sounds like you're missing. http://eurospares.co.uk/partTable.asp?M=3&Mo=748&A=2&B=46499&S= £15.77 each, but it might be worth comparing what you have / haven't got with another GT. If this bloody rain ever stops I'll go outside and take a picture so you can compare.

That's very similar to the front plate mount on my 4200 facelift, but without the boxy bit on the back of the actual plate..!!

The boxy bit works like a knee-slider on bike leathers - gives you a scraping warning when your angle is getting a bit close for comfort!

An early warning system for kerbs. Front of these are so low I'm scared of kerbs. Mine was a bit scraped under the bumper when I got it so I cleaned it all up and painted it. Needs doing again now, despite my kerb-phobia.
