Granturismo Rear light LED Issue

My cousins GT 4.7 car has a problem with the car far left led cluster. A couple of the leds are out but when you give the light a tap from the outside they come back on. It’s bringing a light on the dash when out.

Is this a common issue and is there a fix or is it’s a new light job?

There'll be a way of fixing them, I'm certain. The Aston front headlights have a cluster of LEDs and these can fail over time. The manufacturer's 'fix' is to replace, but there are specialists who can break the headlight apart and actually fix before resealing.

I'm sure someone will be along soon with a suggestion of who could do it.

Umm, I hate to contradict the esteemed @Felonious Crud but up to this point I think it's a replacement only

had a similar issue with marci and one of her boomerangs. "carefully" opened up the unit with a modelling knife and got a nimble fingered bod to resolder then glued unit back together, worked fine. different cars i know but principle the same.

Although it sounds like a connection issue I bet the rear lights are more difficult to get apart. Worth a try before replacing though. Plenty on fleabay at good prices

Have seen this, there is a chap on eBay who repairs the flickering issue. It’s the pcb not them leds
