Decided to change out the factory Cats for some high performance 200 Cell Larini Sports Cats. This was intended as a performance modification, but wont say No to the increase in volume and tone from the system!!

Throttle response and low down pull instantly feels better, and engine seems to rev alot more freely aswell. Did i mention the noise? The Cats added a whole new dimension to the exhaust sound of the GTS. More volume and an even better tone, with a more pronounced howl at the top of the rev range! :tomato4::tomato4::tomato4:

A few pics:

Thanks for sharing that, Noor. Would be interested in a video (actually, an audio is what I want). Also, what are the pipes like at the back? The stainless steel could be a bit conspicuous if it exits with the same finish (imho).

Cheers

Adam - Ill upload a sound file later in the week when i get a chance.

I have for the time being :0037: only changed out the Sports Cats. So the centre section and the rear exhaust for now is still the standard setup. Thus no change in the rear appearance. If you were to change the rear boxes, the tail pipes are available in a polished silver finish or Diamond Black, either in Oval configuration or Quad configuration.

Hi James,
Yes I am looking forward to seeing and hearing what they have come up with and all credit to the effort being put in. Hopefully the figures will be right and I will take the plunge. How are you keeping, we could do with a meet up somewhere..??

Only wish Larini could make them a bit more competitive on price..!!

I hear what you are saying, but if you look at the competition, Larini IS quite competitive. Tubi, Capristo all have systems which are more expensive than Larini.

The Major costs come from the Aviation Grade T.316 Stainless Steel (All Parts including flanges are SS not Mild Steel) as well, as the time and effort incurred in creating each individual parts. Each part is meticulously created, after days of research and analysis. I know Larini kept my previous QP for over a week to just create the Sports Cats.

Each part is created, tested and improved continuously until they are happy with the performance, sound, fit and overall quality of the product. Each part has to work as a complete system aswell, so are designed as a complete exhaust solution that can be deployed in full or part, based on customer requirements.

All parts are designed to increase performance, the tone of the exhaust is also improved and not just the volume.
Life time guarantee and aftersales support all increase costs.

As for the Cats – Larini only use High Grade Metalic Cat Cores, which are guaranteed not to throw any check engine lights. Aswell as significantly improving flow and performance. 200 cpsi, an open area of 90%, offering near unopposed gas flow

Hi James,
Got your reply and have sent a PM.
Hi Noor,
I appreciate everything you say, Larini are like any other exhaust company, even though they don't actually manufacture the exhausts themselves, they have a good design team. 316 SS is a common enough material, I have bought tons of it over the years, it can be as thin, or thick as you like. Larini make a good product no denial there, but the price is usually higher than most in my experience, I may be wrong..?? They would sell a lot more if they were competitive, maybe we can do a deal with the forum and Larini..??
Cheers

Larini do manaufacter the exhausts themselves. A number of forum members have been down to the Larini factory I think.
If you look at the complete product and service package, Larini is competitive, especially if you compare to the Likes of Tubi and Capristo.
Deals for forum members are always available!

Back on topic - My X Pipe has arrived. So some more aural orchestra to be added hopefully at the weekend. :thumb:

Hi Firas,

There's a few different options with the valved rear boxes (Quad Tips, Oval Tips, Black, Polished etc)

Drop me a call or an email, and i'll sort you out with a deal.

Have a look at one we supplied last week:
