I just found a nice parking lot covered in white snowy stuff. So I thought why not be an idiot and get youtube famous by crashing the car while snow drifting. But, as it appears, the italians seem to prevent their products to become famous. I mashed the MSR Off button quite a few times, but it didn't seem to do anything.

I'm not sure if the button worked before, I maybe tried it once when I bought the car a few years ago. But does anyone know if there is some sort of fail safe? Let's say if temprature is below 3 degrees celsuis the MSR can't be turned off? (3 degrees is when the snowflake symbol appears on the dash).

Press and hold is normal on other cars for this function so wouldn't be surprised. So you don't do it by accident as it were.

Never been crazy enough to try it myself:p

Perhaps it’s the same on many cars (certainly is on my Jag) pressing it once seems it turn it off a bit, press and hold turns it off completely

I bet we have all done the “snowy” car park thing, I certainly have on a number of occasions - trick is to keep away from hidden kerbs, lampposts and parked cars etc - been lucky so far.
I did doughnuts it’s my Jaguar XJ in a wet Halfords carpark, next to a mcDonalds when some oiks made some comment about Jags being for old men..... childish I know, but felt good at the time.

make sure you post a vid

When I was a young man (many years ago!) there was a skid pan at Tangmere Airfield. Think it was for police training. Occasionally they didn’t lock the barrier to it so much fun was had.
