GranTurismo Window Switch removal - wonky toggles!

Hi all, my driver's side window switches are giving up the ghost, all wonky and loose - I believe the toggles have broken in the switch assembly so will see if I can super-glue first but had a couple of questions before I attack the trim.

Do you have to take the door card off to get the switch assembly out? and how!
The entire switch assembly is listed as one part but there are some Fiat switches that look the same, can you just replace the toggles?

I'm a bit nervous to damage the door trim trying to get the switch out so would appreciate if someone knows the correct procedure - I searched and see some threads for the 3200/4200 but not the GranTurismo.

Thanks all......

Yes you must take the door card off. It’s not difficult just make sure you’ve got all the screws out.

There are instructions for the QPV that I have see but I haven't seen one for the GT. Here's a video of it but it is not very comprehensive:

If it's like the QPV, to remove the entire door card off completely as the armrest tabs can only be accessed from the other side of the door card. You will probably need to remove the cable that connects to the inner handle to get it off.

When I was removing switch module, I did break the little toggle pivot struts on one of the buttons whilst removing the faceplate. However, you can superglue these back if they are still there, which they should be. Remember not just to glue the the toggle pivots back, but recreate the little strengthening spine on the toggle pivot struts (just adding little extra layering of superglue after you've glued the toggle pivot back on, with sufficient drying time between layers - you will see what they look like when you lift the button). Here's some pics of the QPV switch assembly - be very careful when removing the faceplate - use plastic pry tools.

If you are having to create structure to a superglue repair, sprinkle baking soda you can then shape / trim with a dremel or sandpaper

Please keep us updated- mine have some black rubber matting trimmed and inserted to stop the switches rattling.
