Welcome, the wheel centres are a known Maserati problem. I've had my car nearly 2.5 years and some of mine are either the 2nd or 3rd set.

I've now ordered a new set of wheel centres with red tridents to compliment the red brake callipers...

As for the tyres, front tyres will crack as they last forever as long as the tracking is ok. As for the rear tyres, they only last 6-8000 miles!

The front tyres were manufactured in 2011 so seems they've degraded pretty quickly whilst still having plenty of tread depth - I'm still waiting to hear back from the garage where I bought the car regards their discussions with Pirelli...

Not sure Bob - the last owner lived near Bracknell in Berkshire so not much chance of bright sunshine there!

Don't say that...mine's in for (amongst a shopping list of other largely aesthetic things) getting the wheels refurbed, albeit a dark gunmetal colour rather than black. I decided black wheels with black paintwork may just be a stretch too far. Out of interest. has anyone else found the wheel bolt chrome to be 'dodgy' i.e. peeled off? I'm changing the bolts, but not least because of this.

By the way, not had any problems with a rattling dash with mine. I was fortunate with the tyres as the previous owner changed all 4 just before selling it on (with 13k on the clock). Alarming to hear of only 4k on the rears though......mind you, perhaps I'm a little more gentle than I should be with it!

I bought the car from an independent specialist dealer (sells Ferrari, Astons, Bentley and Maserati as well as some classics) so they threw in a 6 month warranty. I've already had two new rear tyres out of them and am awaiting news on the front tyres which have cracking inbetween the treads.

Update: Now having two new front tyres fitted courtesy of Pirelli. So, four new tyres for free - I can't complain! How much are they for a set of Pirelli P Zeros?

Cheers
