GS Prices

I mentioned the MCV just in case one happened to come to the market in the near future. But the chances are slim. They are even more in the "keeper" category than a normal GS.

Off to France in mine on Thursday. Can't wait!

Push the budget out, be patient, and get an MCV version of the GS. Only about 11 in the UK, and none currently for sale, but very special and worth the premium.

The MCV is really worth looking at. But at the moment they still cost twice as much as a GS. This might be too much for some carbon applications. I know a MCV in Austria which is being tried to be sold for ages but if you can get 2 GS or a nice Ferrari for the same price, no way he will sell!

It has been an interesting few months at Marwood Towers, with various clients choosing not to pay on time - one for nearly a year in fact. The sums were large enough for the GS to come under serious scrutiny. I tried the 'bound to appreciate' line with Mrs M but she didn't buy it. I had been reasonably sure that she goes profoundly deaf whenever I talk about cars but no! In fact she'd logged, with alarming accuracy, the fact that it costs £1200 to garage, £500 to insure, £500 to tax, £1500ish to service and £80 to fill up, which is pretty much every time I take it out for a completely pointless (and wonderful) early morning blast. I haven't got around to telling her about the new discs, rear tyres or clutch due next year...and lets not mention wishbones.

Written down, the numbers don't make sense. So I try to exist in a state of permanent denial.

lol
think it is fair to say that even if these cars do appreciate in value, most of us will have spent it all before we get there keeping them going! lol

I always find it curious that the female brain has this habit of recounting every penny we spend on our cars and at any given moment, usually amidst a stinking row, they decide to shove it up your chuff reminding you of just how lucky you are and in no way do they get that kind of money spent on them

I think there is some seasonal adjustment going on at them moment. A few weeks ago they were very late 20's and some in the 30's. Now we have three on the market at between 22.5k and 25k. Prices will stay low i think now until next april/may/june time.

Or the good low miles cars have sold and the rest are still for sale...

I take your point Richard but 22.5k for a GS with full leather and 65k miles still seems a very low price.

That's been for sale before through ADG so they know the car. Speak to Matthew at Giallo for more info as he will undoubtedly know the car.

Peeps, would you believe it, I am back in the UK!

Thoughts on this car?

I have asked for information on latest clutch wear reading (date and percentage), wonder if they'll reply. Not keen on the red painted trident at the front (possible result of a shunt?).

Appreciate any feedback :)

Last sold about 10 months ago. I think there is a thread on here about it from last time round. iirc the badge had just been changed for a red one by a previous owner to match the red center wheel caps. I will see if i can find the old thread. Im sure the dealer would change the badge to a standard one as part of the deal its not an expensive part.

I saw this car when it was for sale at ADG in July 2015. The dark wheels and red badge do look fantastic in person and this car has real presence. Almost enough to make you overlook the slightly scruffy bodywork and tired interior. I didn't get to drive the car so can't comment on how it feels on the road, but cosmetically it is bottom quartile for a GS. It's not too bad, but a lot of Gransports are meticulously cared for and in immaculate condition, this one isn't. Or at least it wasn't last year.
