GT-S Auto UK Servicing

Hi guys,

I have lurked on here for a while and must say what a great site this is and a source of valuable info.

My 2012 Model GTS Auto (Sport Pack) is approaching 12,000 miles. It will be 2 years old this November.

Before I start calling around, can anyone give me an idea of what i should be paying in the SE of England for this service as i have been told there are deals to be had.

Just to add that this is my 3rd Granturismo and i still love them! Only issue i have with this car is the passenger seat won't automatically go back itself. I've tried the various resets, battery off etc but no joy, so it's one for the dealer. Other than that the car is perfect.

My biggest problem is what do i get next ?! I would have been seriously tempted by an Auto box version of the MC Stradale, like the Gran Cabrio MC, but looks like that's not on the cards unless they do it as a run out model?? Maybe they'll launch a Granturismo MC Auto model like they have in the US?

Welcome. Two year service is c£1650 and four year service c£2650 IIRC if you do less than 6250 miles pa as you clearly do.

I love my GTS Auto (sept 11 reg) so understand your commitment to the brand.

Thanks for the replies. I'll start making enquiries and report back.

I'm going to try and upload some photos.

My car is Grigio Granito with Sabbia.

Nice! Just check what is included as the dealers' can get confused as some items are time and some are mileage driven. For example, a first service can be under £1k if you do it as a mileage service and do the time stuff later on. Obviously need to be doing higher mileage than you are for this to work but it just illustrates how things vary.

An update:

My supplying dealer has quoted me two prices:

1. £1400 for the 2 year & 12,500 mile service

2. £1100 for the 2 year service only.

As my car as approaching 12,000 miles i will go for the first option. They are almost 200 miles away from me and have offered to collect and deliver the car. Does this seem about right?

P.S. My garage is a mans garage, i've just hidden all the cr*p out of view!! ;-)

Try and negotiate the difference down and go for the more expensive one. One of the reasons I bought mine ( privately) was that there was no evidence of cost cutting anywhere on maintenance. For the sake of 300 quid (or maybe less if you have a word with them) it all seems a bit pointless not doing to proper schedule?

I finally ended up getting my 2 year, 12,000 mile service done last week.

Also had 3 minor warranty issues :

1. Passenger seat wouldn't move back automatically - seat control unit replaced

2. Passenger mirror wouldn't dip when going into reverse - apparently related to above so fixed

3. Had a 'bulge' in the side of the drivers seat due to foam moving behind the leather. Thought they might not be willing to do this under warranty but no questions asked they replaced the foam. Perfect job, you'd never know.

Only other item was not a warranty issue. My lower front bumper grill mesh on one side had pushed in about 2cm probably from hitting a stone or some debris. Not a big job but pleasantly surprised to see it fixed at no charge.

Service was done for £1100 inc VAT. With free courtesy Audi A4 which I had to insure.

Also decided to change the rear P-Zeros as down to 2mm at 12,000 miles.

Car returned clean, unmarked and running perfectly.

Not sure if I'm allowed to mention the dealer but a first class service. Very courteous and responsive.

Also not having the car for almost a week has made me love it even more. Sound silly but when I saw it pull up at my house I though 'what a great looking car'! Had a good drive today and running beautifully! :thumb1:
