GTS - passenger footwell leak

Hi
I mentioned previously that I was experiencing lots of condensation in the car - on all internal windows. Wisely people on this forum recommended that I check for leaks and also check the pollen filter. Well - turns out that there is a fair amount of water in the passenger seat footwell. I can't figure out how it is getting in though. I've lifted all the carpets and dried them out - but can't see where it's coming in. There is a box compartment on the passenger footwell floor with 4 philips screws to access - should I unscrew that and have a look ? Be grateful for advice as to how I find where the leak is and fix it. I could take it to a local garage and put it on a ramp to have a look for holes ? Does anyone think that I need to go to a maserati specialist or can anyone do this ?
Really grateful for advice
Thanks
Dan

I think I'd be inclined to go to a specialist. There are a number of threads running for similar problems with 4200/GS models and the source seems to have been quite hard to track down. I'm not aware of similar problems having been reported on GTs yet. Maybe worth having a read of those threads as might indicate things to consider on the GTS too.
