Andy, you should have been in the car with me! I can assure you was pretty ******* impressed myself!
I think we did about 10 passes in total and the Maser was consistently terrorising the Ferrari. Toward the end both cars were suffering from slippy clutch syndrome, let's face it they're not really meant to be doing that kind of thing over and over...!

Great fun though, would do it again in a heart beat!

Boys and their toys.............I suppose this means the 4200 and the Gransport could have achieved a similar result. Nice to see Maseratis can stand up for themselves especially when in the company of such great opposition. Somehow though, over a longer distance, I think the Ferrari would have edged ahead but hey who cares I have always maintained Maserati are plenty fast enough and at least two passengers in the back can sit in a degree of comfort and still enjoy the thrills.

Glad you like the video guys. It was a bit of an absent-minded effort as I had a McLaren F1 and MC4 up my jacksi hence the portrait format, but it doesn't tell the full story.

The Ferrari is on 100% auto in most of those. They were drag starting for pics, not actually racing (well, that was the brief!). When he switches to paddles the 612 is murderous. 540 bhp in circa the same weight as the GT-S = better luck next time!

As Dan knows, it was all fantastic fun and, best of all, this sort of stuff is how I earn a living

Nice. The 612 is on the shortlist for me, alongside the GT-S, so I'll be rushing out to buy the mag as soon as I've finished my cuppa!
