Has anyone looked at this car?

I know someone on here has. Was mentioned on another thread.
The boot had water in it and there was 'issues' with the way it changed gear.

Indeed, the water in the boot is not an issue but the stalling when going into reverse is and points to the clutch, despite it being new.

The stalling in reverse was an issue the previous owner reported and the reason he sold the car after the new clutch did not fix it.

One to walk away from I feel.

Reason for why it's been for sale for ages then...Looks lovely but sounds like you need to walk away...

I believe the garage are tying to have the issue fixed but until this historic fault is sorted I would leave it be.

Or a big discount and get it sorted............if all else perfect

Every car has it's price point. It's a sham to write some cars off given that a £2,3k price point differential to a minter gives lots of opportunities to fix issues.

You'd like to know whose tried to fix it first, if a reputable indie/MD have been stumped, then definitely walk away!!!!

Even though the water in the boot is not uncommon, I'm still surprised that a dealer is happy to show it with this obvious problem when all they need to do is keep it under cover when it rains. It doesn't reflect well on them for me

Indeed. I'd be looking for cash knocked off. I did a reasonably comprehensive fix on mine. Yes it took time, but.....

I wouldn't touch this until its sorted, even if he was to knock £2k off, which the wouldn't.

Just come back from viewing it as my brother was going to buy it...its a shed, don't bother.

Car has been blown over badly, 1 wheel chipped, bumpers scuffed, oil sender dancing all over the place, rear tyres on the wear markers.

Very poor car.
