I'm looking at GSs but neither of these have the right interior for me. I suggest you give Richard Grace a call - he has a car about to come on the market which sounds great, but... didn't have the right interior for me (it's beige). He has a reputation for selling straight cars.

They both look nice however the silver car is with a very reputable dealer in Nareman. Given the price difference, I'd personally be looking at that as a keen buy, especially given the recent clutch and service.

I've owned both those colours!

Agreed, except for owning the colours part

Agree with Outrun.
You can be sure the Nuvola car will be spot on. Doubt anyone is more fastidious about car presentation than Nareman.
His price looks pretty fair even allowing for difference in spec.

The Simmons car looks great in the pictures.
However, in the flesh leaves something to be desired.

Needs a bit of work shall we say. It's been up for sale for about 9 months now so that should tell you all you need to know.

Thanks, do you know what kind of work? Mechanical? Bodywork?

Definitely give Richard Grace a call, I know he has a great car coming up for sale as apart from anything else he has my old GranSport Coupé that I have part exchanged for a GranSport MCV. If it hadn't been for getting the MCV my GS Coupé would not have been sold as it was one of my favourite cars!

Robin's GS is lovely. Wish I hadn't committed money elsewhere otherwise that would be sitting in my garage right now!

Bravo. That's another new excuse for not buying yet another car that's supposedly perfect for you. You have more excuses than british rail!

The GS is great but I can't understand how they command stronger prices than younger QPs and one or two GTs.

You're comparing completely different cars, Chris. The QP is a big saloon with a big, thirsty V8 - this type of car will always suffer the heaviest depreciation, no matter how good it is. The QP's value has fared extremely well against a Mercedes S500 of the same age for example. The cheaper GT's are early 4.2 autos - same engine as a GS in a bigger, heavier car with an auto box; again a different prospect to a GS as it's more of a cruiser. The GranSport is seen by many as the ultimate of the coupe shape and more of a sports car as it's smaller and lighter than a GT/GTS with sharper handling. There are also many more 4.2 GTs made than GranSports, so I guess rarity may also be a factor. They're all fantastic cars for what they do, but each does a different job. I love my GS and cannot see myself parting with it. I'd be happy if values continue to rise, though!

Thanks for the info guys.

I did speak to Richard Grace and the car you all mention does sound lovely, but it will be north of 30K, which is just a bit too much.

Whatever I buy needs to start with a 2.

Or I just go and buy an exceptionally good 3200 as per my original plan.

Silver car may be worth a look then, and blue one needs caution.

Have to admit it's the blue one that really gets me erm er aroused :)

Will have to see what techno cloth or whatever it's called looks like in the flesh.

I was never a fan until I had my black GS with the darker nero competizione techno cloth - really suited the car. I'm less keen on the lighter silvery colour, but would always prefer full leather.
