Nice. I quite like that, performance figures are a little disappointing though, 5.9 0-60 in Sport with a top speed of 125mph, you'd expect a bit more from 403hp.
That said, if that's the future of motoring after the oil runs out, it's not so bad.
Any idea of price, can't see anything on the website?

i dont think oil will run out in my generation.

Hope your right Adam , but i think it will become economically unviable as stocks dwindle as an everday fuel for transport , maybe in 20 years , there always be some about for the enthusiast /petrolhead for special days out etc but it will be expensive , love to be able to stock pile it and add a rejuvinator is that possible , i can remember buying many a motorbike in my early teens obviously with stale petrol that was in some cases years old , never had one not start on it tho , any one got any views on this

I wouldn't be so sure my young friend.

In 2001 planners from a major corporation calculated the available energy resource for renewable energy technologies across the world. They found that it is renewables that hold the potential to power a future world populated with 10+ billion people (currently 6 billion), not fossil fuels. This could be achieved even if all of them used energy at levels way above the average per capita consumption in the EU today. It is renewables that will be making energy insecurity a thing of the past. Probably the most important thing about this study is that the corporation in question was.... Shell.

Oil consumption is predicted to exceed production as soon as 2014. Realistically, you are probably right that none of us here now will likely see the day that the last barrel of Oil is consumed. However, considering the basic fundamentals of supply and demand, it is more likely that we, the man on the street, will be priced out of the market and will be left with no option but to pursue renewable/alternative sources of energy. To extrapolate this theory to the 'enth degree, can you imagine the price of the last ever barrel of Oil?

So, if you fear change - the sad thing is that hybid tech, electric vehicles, etc are inevitable.
However, if you embrace change, it's an exiting concept that needs to be grabbed with both hands to continue with and improve upon our lives, it's simply the evolution of energy.
Just like moving on from steam engines and the like....

loz, I was reading somewhere the other day that it's only really highly tuned engines that are specifically mapped to run on 100+ octane fuel that will suffer if fuel goes "off".
Seeing as normal road cars, even high performance ones, are set up to be able to run on pretty much any old wishy washy fuels they'd probably still work, at least after a fashion. As you say, if it was stored up for special occasions some way off in time, I think a true petrol head would just revel noise and smell of it all, even if it wasn't running at its best.

Whilst I am an advocate of the new, up and coming systems, I for one would pay good money for fuel for an internal combustion fix to avoid it being consigned to memory and history.

...hoping they will be able to "create" other viable type liquid energy sources which we can run our cars or....or combo type fuels........lots of ideas out there......:)
