There was one created by a third party, but the link failed. There are, annoyingly, data protection issues around storing this stuff. Thats why the forum no longer requests or stores protected information like D.O.B.

There was a map, but it is dead. I wish it wasn't.

There really is no barrier to people adding their own locations to a map, or to the forum generating a map based on (fairly general) location information provided in member profiles.

Data protections is a challenge, but my reading of the regulations makes it clear to me that you can store most kinds of information (including location and date of birth) if you (a) document why you are keeping it (b) tell people you are keeping it (c) give them the opportunity to opt out. Some information is more tricky to hold, such as medical, financial or legal stuff or information about children.

Why would we want anything personal? I think the Idea (And i may be wrong) was to get a general layout of where we are all based in Scotland. There are a few venues/Car shows, I mentioned one at Glen Isla for instance where it would be possible for a few cars from the Central belt and those up North to meet,That was what I thought would be a possibility

I wonder how a map would work? could we apply an overlay to google maps or something? If i had any spare time I would look into this. I am in Newmachar just north of Aberdeen and I don't think there are any 3200's up here, a few QP's and Ghibli I think.
Hi Davy,
Add me and my Granturismo S to you list, I live very close to you but a little nearer to the coast. Then there’s Stuart who is also not too far away and who has a 3200. There’s also a Granturismo Stradale living in Inverurie and a Grecale over near St John’s Wells so perhaps we’re in “Secret Maserati” country

I'm doing the NC500 - West and North coast and then diagonally down to Granton-on-Spey in May in the QP. May need some good Samaritans en route!

Personally I don’t like the stretch on A9 from Inverness to John O’Groats and would cut off at Helmsdale and go to Melvich. That link is an improvement on the official NC500.
Sadly the road is now swamped with motor homes that struggle to navigate single track roads and as Highlander says we find other roads that are fun to drive. Hope the weather improves for you between now and then.

Yep, I understand the requirements. The complexity of implementation is the barrier.

I saw your DM, let’s work out what we can do.

I'm going clockwise and getting as far as Tongue and then heading South to Granton-on-Spey, as the received wisdom is that JoG and the East coast is not so good
