Surely she's got an anniversary or birthday coming up... Wherever you go you'll need the appropriate transportation.. I've posted some of these before.. but the 4200 was about 10 years earlier..

My office is next door.Did you have one of the cell rooms in Oxford?
My Mrs took me there for my 40th, it was brilliant, just like Porridge

Probably, and maybe I'm a bit hasty... but a quick bit of research reveals Retail circa = £40 / 42k Trade circa £32k, concession sale circa £38k less prep costs ... So a "Mates Rate" somewhere £34 - £36k provided timing suitable and not to much pouncing about..
Selling through the forum attractive as you're dealing with people that know what they are looking at, supported by others that have experience of the marque, rather than the usual dreamers who end up with a hot Audi..
Also, and I'm afraid to admit it- but there's a certain "emotional attachment" with these (I'm sure I'm not the only one) .. good to know it's going to a good home. - And you'll notice that forum members often follow the ownership of their previous cars around the group.. Which is nice- and gives the cars themselves a "provenance".
Both of us hit the 50 mark this year, so arriving somewhere in style would be a good carrot to dangle
Hehe. Oldish bloke thenPlease ask a mod to rename this thread. At sub-50 you are but a spring chicken compared to many on here.

Having bought Fangio's previous car, I can thoroughly recommend this one too. Was good doing a deal over a handshake too! If only I was anywhere near being able to have my dream car back again I'd be buying this in an instant. I still annoy my wife every time I mention the Maz
Hi, (thread drift alert..)
After nearly 2 years off I am back in the industry luckily! Had a 135i bought at 12k miles and sold by total coincidence back to the same chap through auto trader. Very funny. He didn't even realise it was his car when he rung me up...
I now have my dream car (volvo xc90 with a 2 year old kiddy), but want a GT in my life again...! Oh the noise!
Yes all good thanks... And I got addicted to the sound with the Sport... nearly always driven with the sport button on and paddles selected - so you don't have to wait for 3,000rpm... Suspension not ideal for an urban environment like that but it's lovely to growl around the streets with the sound bouncing back off the office buildings...For sure if I was to have a 4.2 again I'd go for the Larini with valves. I think that would be better for me than linking to sport mode as one doesn't always want the looser traction control, I just like SOUND! It did transform the car for me and I loved it. Hope you're keeping well.
