Holiday in a Gransport including luggage photos etc

Just returned from a nice break in the Gransport. We had a fair amount of luggage to pack in, and surprisingly it all fitted!

This was my first real "drive" of the car and it was nice! I have come to the conclusion that the ride is really smooth out of sport on a good road, pretty good in Sport on a good road and a bad road is "hard" in both modes. My holiday routine was simple driving - if there was a sniff of somebody hearing the car the finger went on the button (especially in built up areas, tunnels, roundabouts, pedestrians, barry boys in Corsa's etc). If it was a nice smooth road and no one around then normal mode it was. Country lanes = permanent sport!

I took some microfibre towels, and wiped down the car daily (it got rained on at night + bird poo). I didn't bother CTEKing whilst away.

Parking wise no drama's at all.

Few pics for those wondering how much you can fit in (maybe would be purchasers of a GS?)

Love the smiles! Happy Days :)
I've had a couple of short holidays taking the GS.
Wife, a 10 year old and 8 year old plus the obligatory **** that one needs when going away - drama.

Well done. We have done a number of 4 k holidays to Queensland and agree they are a great touring car.
One tip is to take a large rubbish bag to take a wheel if you get a flat.( providing you have a spare space saver).

Always an adventure driving a Maserati but off for a break with family is even better....Sounds like fun and went well.

Happy smiles and a very well kept car.

I was wondering, the tablet of your son looks bigger than your son :)

Glad you had a great trip.

Surprised the boot is so empty with all the stuff in the car - I hate having bits about the inside so have a good selection of cases that make use of every inch of the boot space and have used them on the three coupes I have had.

Good skills... These are cars to be used.
I have just returned from 7 days away with wife and 2 kids in Algarve in which travelled in the GS.

I used the excellent tips on this site to have a hub made up to fit a Mercedes Space saver. The problem is you can literally fit nothing else in the boot.....

The only real reason a GS is slightly bumpy on bad roads, is the super low profile tyres, good roads it corners great and is very stable at high speed..!!

I got this great thing from eBay which is a bluetooth adapter with radio transmitter. Allows you to send spotify (saved music) on iPhone to the Becker. About £6! Saves getting a new head unit. As people probably know the Becker Indianapolis bluetooth is phone only - not music.
