Is it worth fixing?

Well gents, the terminal news finally in.. the force of the crash on the passenger corner has bent the steering rack and pushed the anti-roll bar into the chassis thus bending the front leg.

Considering it's got 101k on the clock and currently owes me 5k... i'm guessing it's not worth sticking what will now be about 5k ( prior to the above i'd priced up 2k to get all replacement parts from various sources, another £1500 for fitting and paint as i was doing the majority of the "grunt" work myself ) to also repair her?

Keen to hear your thoughts! Have been made a few offers by specialist breakers so it's decision time alas.

Hi

Cut your losses, and put the money you get for it plus what you would have spent on parts and repairs towards a straight one with lower miles.

I'd sell it for parts and put a deposit down on something if you can. Always sad to see one off the road but it's not worth doing, it would be worth about £7k all done and would owe you way more.

well, I must be a romantic then!

Depends on what she means to you and the history you've had I think.

You're rarely going to make the money back anyway...

It's worse than that, i'll be going back to 'Ze Germans.. CL55 or if I completly loose my mind all british and a Cerbera.

Shame though! If it's any help, the grille and Trident will be hanging over my bar as a reminder to not buy cars in the dark.

Open to offers if any breakers are on this site!

Well, there is a descent engine and gearbox there, it's crying out for Loz to take it on and put it in one of the 'reincarnation' cars. You could also contact Andy250 as I know he has another project on the go and that lump is just too good to waste.

She will live again in one guise or another!

Sounds like you may have made you mind up and just needed a push...........Agree with the comments above and although it's sad to see another 3200 AC...It is an AC I take it................off the raod.......Cut your losses......Parts will be getting rare for these cars so breakers would just at one of these I would have thought.

You mean "light" allthough interestingly they are HID, passeneger one still works too. Previous owner mod, goodness know what with. Allthough they did pass the last MOT with them according to the paper work?

Mind you the car was sold with 89k, so won't be taking his word for it.. Currently taking him to small claims about the mileage.

I think your going the right way to sell this on as parts or to a breaker, but still sad to see - hope it all works out for you
