Anyone got experience or thoughts on one of these ?
I like the alloy body design concept and the interior styling similar to my XF.
As there is only myself and Ms French a Coupe will compliment my little fleet.
Seem to be some good value ones out there to me.

The father in law has got one. Sounds nice and very comfy. Interior is a bit cheap compared with it’s competitors and he’s had alloy corrosion issues that’s required paint on a few year old, low mileage garaged car.

He loves it.

I’m led to believe they come with golf clubs and a pink Pringle jumper.

We have one and it is fantastic. We searched out an XK over an XKR for our purposes. Water pumps a known weak point even on low mileage cars. Changed ours at 32K miles. Alloy body but still watch for corrosion, very common in some areas of the car. Subframes are steel and can also rust. They are a little soft, especially if compared to a 4200/GS but cover ground in extreme comfort and can shift especially in Sport/Dynamic mode. Servicing easy and cheap but make sure it has been done by the book. Paint soft so look for chips and swirls. They also eat brake pads and discs but they are cheap enough to replace for this type of car. Heatshields fall off due to corrosion. Batteries have a hard life and need to be kept tip-top to avoid issues. Sound familiar? :) PM if you need more info

Thanks so far Gentlemen.
Golf is not for me and I don't think I have any pink Pringle clothing being a long haired rock and roll bloke.

Had an XKR 5.0 before my granturismo as a cruiser, very similar cars, all personal preference. Prefer the Maserati myself and I see plenty of Jaaaaags round here! Also it's a dated model with the F series, if that bothers you.

Love ‘em. They look terrific and go well, too. Visually they're ageing well. I had an XFR for a couple of years and it was a tremendous thing. Went like a stabbed rat and was extremely comfortable. Even Mrs Crud, who doesn't like cars, liked it.

I do like them and have been tempted but never got on with the interior. Same as I never got on with the earlier XF interiors to be honest. I can see why it would be a good thing to buy though.

They were also too much money for me when I was looking a while back.

I have a convertible here in the Algarve. Fantastic car. Apart from the rear seats being vestigial, I would say better in every way than the Grancabrio I had previously. It feels a lot smaller, lighter quicker and more agile. Doesn’t make the noise of the Maserati out of the box, but I believe some exhaust tweaks will deliver more noise if that is what you want. I think it is aging very well as a design and is less common than the F type. Has been utterly reliable so far. Btw, don’t have a Pringle jumper in my wardrobe or a set of golf clubs. Get one Phil, you won’t regret it

Wow she's a stunner.
Want a Coupe as have the Boxster for topless days and can't fault her having just been to Spain and Portugal.
Finding very few negatives so far and searching far and wide as a here they are expensive so will probably get one from UK again.

Lovely things, but I found the steering a bit woolly for press on driving. Lovely smooth GT car.

A french blue Jaguar XKR-S though... I feel a twin test with an MC Stradale coming on...

Lots of reviews said the Stradale was more of an XKR S competitor than the 911 track special one.

I've been looking at these as well, the choice is huge.
All the weak point have been mentioned.
Not sure I'd want the same interior as the XF though. Although, all being well the XF and I may be parting ways in the next few months.
I've had it almost 9 months and that's far to long for me to have one car! :p

Agree that's a lot of car for the money it just doesn't do anything for me I'm afraid.
It's good we all like different things.
