Haha!
Going by the threads on here and my experience any maz over 10 year old that has been out in the winter will need a serious looking at.
Not heard about 3200 Issues, maybe that were better protected or just less usable.
My favourite pics!

The video is ok but I did not like how he concluded it.

I'm reffering to the contrived rubbish about the Granturismo being so much more sorted than previous models and up to scratch to any Ferrari...

Guess the key word there is contrived, balanced rational reviews don't get the views/likes/comments

I kinda get where you’re coming from @FIFTY as he’s makes out, in my opinion, that the steering and breaking on the older models, made it undrivable and some sort of major flaw? i spent years jumping from a 911, into my 4200 and never had an issue with steering or breaking. I‘ve driven a Granturismo, an MC Shift, even driven @outrun ’s Stradale down to Le Mans and never thought it highlighted a flaw in the 4200.

But I suppose, if he was all vanilla, we wouldn’t be watching the video and talking about it.

Surely he's making videos for more than the folk who already drive the cars though...?
We know what they are like..and ultimately. will dismiss his comments if they are for effect.
Aesthetics are arguably perhaps, more subjective. No one needs to be told if they like the the looks of a car or whatever..

Opinions are like ar5eh0les....!
He seems to like the sound of his own voice..!:alan2:

Starting to happen as they get older and some members have repaired or changed them.
Both I had were rust free though.
The second would never have got into New Zealand otherwise.
What part of NZ do you live - I know the country quite well having spent many years there - mainly Wellington

I think you must be a very brave man, trying that caper on axle stands..! Respect.:welcome1:
Cheers!
Was one at a time but more than axle stands - Needed an engine crane, hydraulic ramps, transmission jack and 3 trolly jacks!
Next garage will have a 2 post lift!

The 4200 has long been a punching bag for journos ever since that early TG review. Since then people just like to knock on its transmission, unreliability and horrific depreciation. The GranTurismo made it look worse but I think now they’re coming of age as a modern classic.

So I’m not surprised that he talked it down really.

Not anymore as I met a French lady in Auckland and now live in France.
Started off in Hamilton moved to Auckland to work for Maserati living in Point Chev then moved to Wanganui but I have seen the whole Country twice having done the Pork Pie in 17 then did the whole trip again in 18 just for fun.

Funny you mention that, Clarkson told me once that he’d love a shot in my manual car, as he thought it would be brilliant, but it was because one of the TG producers had bought a CC one and everyone hated him, he couldn’t be seen dead in a 4200. Amazing how people’s opinion can be formed, without any experience?

Think it was kind of popular with celebrities back in the day, Jodie Kidd had one so did Jamie Oliver. There could be more but it showed up in The Sopranos and Desperate Housewives if its of any worth.

One mistake they did in my opinion is the lack of exposure in video games, a lot of the people are getting nostalgic towards past video game icons are starting to get money, its increasing the prices of some cars and helped get some obscure names out there.
