Hi all,

I'm at the point of shopping for a performance exhaust system. The Larini looks like an obvious choice but I'd like to know if anyone has the centre section with the de-cat pipes and standard rear boxes. For the performance benefit the back boxes from Larini are very expensive and I'm not chasing exhaust note just better acceleration (My OEM back boxes are in good condition).

I was hoping someone had done this setup before and could give some insight into perceived gains in turbo spool up time and increase in midrange torque. Most importantly did this produce a check engine light? We do not have annual vehicle inspections in my state so emissions are not an issue.

Larini claim that their decat system produces the most "bang for the buck" in terms of hp and tq increases. Would be very interested In others opinions. Remember this is for the 3200GTA.

Many thanks,

Neil

There is a guy in Holland who has more or less done what you are aiming at: mounting a Larini sports centre section and a set of Larini de-cat pipes in combination with the standard back boxes on his 3200 GTA. As far as I know, he was very positive about the set-up. By the way, he sold his 3200 but he still has the Larini items (and they are for sale). If you are interested, then drop me a PM and I will bring you into contact with him.

See here for pics when he had them installed: http://www.maseratichat.nl/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=246&hilit=Larini

Hi Danny,
Many thanks for that... I was beginning to get concerned that I was going into uncharted territory here. Nice to know that somebody has already done the hard yards.

I've sent you a PM.

Regards,

Neil
