Myself and a mate have decided to go and get our National B Competition licience, has anyone had experience in this, we have got as far as MSA application pack and 1 day ARDS course at silverstone. More interested in arrive and drive race packages as we both have not got the time to commit to a whole season of racing. Just interested in the odd race. Be interested in taking to anyone who has been down this route

Sorry mate only done the Nigel Mansell school at Brands Hatch, day training and drive yourself single seater. Unfortunately I got black flagged for going too fast and had to come in.

Not buying anything, once you have a license you can hire a car off a race team on a race by race basis, less commitment and risk, lots of fun though

Andrew get your wallet out mate. Racing in any form is a expensive slippery slope.

GREAT FUN though!

I know it's not cheap, about £1k per race for car hire, tyres, transport, technical support and fuel, some companies are quoting £650-750 per race depends what car you go for.......

What you going to race? GT3 Cup :D:D

I would go classic touring car racing, fairly cheap, plenty of sideways action and looks so much fun, not too serious.

I have my Rally Licence by grandfather rights for over 25 years it was good in the old days you just phoned for a licence form paid your money and you were a rally driver.
My son got his last year paid for the pack from the MSA and did his test with Phil Price Rallying in mid Wales top bloke top venue WRC teams test there on a regular basis all done for about £300.
