And that’s the point. I don’t want a stupidcar that makes me shrug. I want one that makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end. The physicality of putting a key in a hole and turning it (or pushing it in in the case of my Volvo-derived Vantage key) is so much more tactile and engaging.

Oh I agreed, I'd rather it had the ******** tingle as well, but the 'problems' with keyless start are just a little beyond me :D

Personally I find the tactility of turning a key about as thrilling as opening my pedestal cabinet at worl.

The keyless start was great on my ol' Jag but only if I kept the key to myself. As soon as anyone else had it the possibility they'd pocket it and wander off was real.

Anyway, I bet if your pedestal at work made a Maser V8 noise when you turned the key you'd find the whole experience a bit more thrilling.

The driver has the key! Just don't get the issue :D

I bet I wouldn't ;)

But worst of all is the GranSport, which requires both key and start button. Madness!
Yep, have to agree, keeps catching me out thinking its f****d when it wont start by turning the key. Going to put a sticker on the steering wheel

I had the same.thing on the Vantage when I bought it! Sitting there waiting to drive it back after buying turning the key but not starting. Then noticed the round lit red button that needed to be pressed. Never had driven one before and didn't know how it started. Only took 30 secs I'm sure but is a slightly strange arrangement I agree.
