I'm by no means a track day fan yet, maybe one day :)

What I can offer is this -
http://www.vboxmotorsport.co.uk/index.php/en/products/video-loggers/video-vbox-lite

Seeing as I work there I have a complete kit to loan out to someone if required. There's nothing to pay other than shipping to and fro.
Unless I came along for the jolly and helped fit it in?

Any chance we could borrow that for Bruntingthorpe in August please? Does it take a lot of setting up? I'm wondering if we could move it between cars or whether it would have to stay in one? I'll volunteer mine if the latter!

I'm not keen on taking the GS to Llandow, Andy. I don't think the circuit suits the car. I'll certainly consider it if I get another toy that might be better suited.

I tend to agree with Andy. There are certainly cars more suited to this short 'sprint' circuit, but the 3200, 4200, GS are great fun as well. You won't get above third, but the acceleration, late braking and getting the lines are all things to keep you smiling. The night before is great craic and the bleary eyed run to Llandow certainly blows off the cobwebs.

I am sure there will be takers to have that fitted but if not you can fit it in the Spyder and obviously you will need to come along just in case we need any technical assistance ;)

Seeing as you're first to ask then it's yours for the borrowing but it's easily swapped from car to car so....

Certainly. I am away for a week towards the end of August but I'm sure that can be sorted.

Some circuits can get a little tetchy towards it with the suction mounts for the cameras but a little tank tape and sweet talk gets round that.
Most circuits have one recording media company or other and most use our gear anyway.

Great, thank you. The Bruntingthorpe day is a charity day that Andyk involves us in where we give passenger rides to raise money. It's 8th August this year, come along if you can.

A good cause and I'd be happy to lend the equipment out for that, no problem :)

Does this event have a website? I might be able to pass this on to the powers that be at work and more may be offered in way of equipment? It's worth an ask if that's any help?
If you had more kits you could then pass an SD card or USB stick to each passenger so they can watch it later, dunno, just thinking.

It's 9th August this year, come along if you can

I'll have to see how that pans out. It's my wifes *0th in August so I'm taking her to Nice for a week, 5* and all that jazz so funds might be a little tight around that time <groan>.

Have a look here:

Would be great if there could be more kit in the cars. Maybe we could email a copy of their lap for an extra donation.

It won't cost you much to get in - usually £10 per car and a donation of tinned food for their food bank. You don't have to drive if you don't want to. It's quite a social event for everyone whether they drive or not and we can always use help on the gate managing queueing punters etc. A great day out for the whole family with plenty to do. I fit my summer holiday around the event now!

Hi Andy, I could well be on for this depending upon date, time, and other commitments.

All, if this is to go ahead it will need to be September or October on a Friday..Dates below...

Sept 11th & 18th or 9th, 16th 23rd of October are available...

It would be £90 if we can get 25 cars...£112.50 if we had 20 cars....

So far not that much interested so do not want to go and book anything yet if we can not fill places. It's September so have some time.

So far:

1.AndyK
2.Matt
3.Contigo
4.Miles
5. Zagatoes30
6.Highlander - Maybe
7.Petbri

Sept 18th is the Circuit des Ramparts in Angouleme which I may be driving my v elderly dad to, Oct 9th is the Maserati Club autumn meeting in the Dales and I might be away on the Oct 23rd - so Sept 11th and Oct 16th look ok for me.
Don't worry if another date is more popular. Happy to go into November if need be.

Hey Andy... If there's any room for some Alfas again then let me know! I really enjoyed the last one and would love another go!
Looking at my rota I can do the dates apart from Oct 9th and 16th!
