I see so basically they had a nice flight through "low cloud" and hit a mountain side. Cool Story Bro
Built in a shed at Weybridge that was too low so the T Tail had to come off to get it outside. And the loudest, you should have heard them taking from Heathrow in the 70's, deafening!

Myself and my young daughter at the time were invited on to the flight deck, many years ago of course, it was a pleasant experience watching clouds whizz by..!!
Long story, but I had the pleasure of playing in a Hawk last summer. Did some so called 'poor mans low level flying' i.e. flying upside down along the top of the clouds........absolutely awesome experience.....took controls for a bit and did a few loops, barrel rolls etc...pulled lots of G and didn't vomit.......an achievement.
Benny - have you had any issues with getting through the MOT with your raucous exhaust?
Why did they use the least economical plane as a tanker?
I already have them. Not keen on the noise with the valves closed, but love it when they're open!If you get the Larini Valved Rear Boxes, you can always tone down the noise when you need to, sound is epic..!!
Would you say the x-pipe has the single most effect on sound? if you swapped this section only back to factory would the sound be severely blunted, although still improved over stock?
I ask as I have changed the secondary cats section and rear boxes, which makes a nice improvement. But yours sounds brutal so am thinking this is most likely down to the x-pipe. I know you and Matt believe it takes changing 2 sections to really make a difference.
I swapped my x-pipe last week from stock to unsilenced - it adds a rawness to the sound, and more volume. At the moment I think it's a bit raspy, and there's something I don't like at 2000 revs. Not sure if it's the fitting or just what this system produces. I did a video last night, I'll edit it down from 35 minutes to just the highlights and post it later.
