Marios asked me to share this with everyone. He's gone to collect it today. Came from a private collection in Italy, only 6000 miles from new. A Karif for those who are unfamiliar, 221 made, absolutely immaculate. He's like a kid at Christmas ;)

Saw a cream one of these up for sale recently. I like my straight edges but not totally sure on this.

Apparently so, it's 0-60 is 4.8 secs too, bloody quick car!

No ABS, no MSP, no traction control, no power-steering(?). Heavy clutch, obstructive gear change with inconvenient dog-leg first: A real man's car.

Sooner him than me :)

I looked after a friend's Biturbo years ago when he had to leave the country for work. I ran it up to temperature regularly and occasionally took it for a spin around the block. I can still remember the feeling of exhaustion when I finally managed to squeeze it back into his parking space after a run. Sometimes the sweat was dripping off me. When people moan that they don't make cars like they used to just remember sometimes that a good thing :)

Still, it looks like a ******* and I can understand why he would want one.

Was in the auction at the classic car show so he must have won the bidding, nice car and very rare not to everyones taste but quick and without all the electronics that help us keep these cars on the road today.

This figure was a publicity stunt by De Tomaso, who fitted a one-off extra powerful engine for the test and frankly, probably fidgeted with the clock too ;)

Having said that, the Karif is truly unique and definitely very quick.

There are two for sale in the uk. I have been tempted in the past but not sure you could ever sell it if you wished to.

It's a shame

Bravo Mario's

Very nice and very retro.

Marios told me about this at the weekend, he seems very excited by it.

Love it! Weird funky. Never tire of that 'chopped' looking cabin in profile. Wonder why? :D :D
