Well the time has come to start advertising the 4200, I love it to bits but it is stopping me from enjoying some more cars so alas it needs to go.
I am listing here first for two reasons, firstly someone might want to buy it! but probably more importantly to get some feedback before I put it on pistonheads etc..
I have decided to price it at what I think is a fair price considering the mileage I have not been able to find any others of this age with the full history at the same money. It owes me a bit more but I do not think it would sell at much more money.
I am very interested in perhaps swapping for a classic or another sports car or taking one in as part payment.
Anyway below is the full advert, if you can have a read back then if you have any feedback on it please let me know it would be appreciated. I will upload some more pictures once I get my head round my new phone!!
2004 Maserati Coupe 4200 Cambiocorsa
4.2 V8 Semi-Auto with F1 style paddle shift gear box.
Supplied new by PJ Evans in the West Midlands on 15/03/2004
The 4200 was the first of the “Ferrari†built Maserati's and the first to switch from the 3.2 twin turbo engine to the 4.2 390 bhp N/A Ferrari sourced engine, coupled with the CambioCorsa (race change) gearbox.
This is the face lifted version with the newer 18†7 spoke wheels. Finished in gorgeous Grigio Alfieri Paint with Black leather interior.
The exterior is in superb order it does have a couple of stone chips on the bonnet but nothing too major.
The interior is a wonderful place to be the black leather is in great condition, and all the various buttons and switches work as they should, including the built in SATNAV.
Mechanically it has been looked after with no expense spared, before me it was owned from new by the same family changing hands once from one brother to the other.
It comes with a Full Service history
01/04/2005 - 8403 miles -PJ Evans
20/12/2005 - 18902 miles - PJ Evans
12/06/2006 - 31233 miles - Stratstone
19/12/2007 - 47251 miles - Stratstone
23/01/2009 - 56260 miles - Nick Whale Maserati
12/07/2010 - 70551 miles - Graypaul
26/04/2011 - 79586 Miles - Graypaul
12/04/2013 - 91383 Miles - Grimaldi Engineering
Additional major work carried out include
30/01/2009 - 56265 miles - Nick Whale - New Steering Rack and Clutch.
12/07/2010 - 70550 Miles - Graypaul - Replaced front and rear discs and pads.
29/06/2012 - 87266 Miles - Ferrari Birmingham - Replaced Air Con pump and Belt.
I had the last service carried out with Grimaldi Engineering at the same time I had them carry out a full 4 wheel Geomerty. I have just had all the wheels refurbished so she is now looking and driving her best.
The MOT runs until March 22nd 2014 and the TAX until 31st August 2013.
The Clutch was last changed at 56265 I had this checked on the last service and although the computer reading was 90% worn they could not fault it and the F1 gear box is working perfectly so although it will need doing at some point for the foreseeable future it seems an unnecessary job.
Cash price £11495.00
However I would be very interested in swapping or taking a P/X as long as its something interesting!
I would be interested in a classic of some sort, maybe a air cooled Porsche or Lotus, any classic or sports car would be considered.
Any questions or if you would like to arrange an inspection or testdrive Please call or e-mail me on
