I recently sold my Gransport to a forum member here. I was doing a clear out today and realised that I had 4 brand new suspension lower arms (Full set of 4) in original packaging which I must have bought at some point pre-emptively. I never had an issue with my arms during the ownership but was told by AV Engineering that is a common failure point (hence the pre-emptive purchase). So I am offering the full set here for sale at a significant discount from the current RRP. I bought these from Eurospares. There are currently listed there as "pattern parts" on their website. Here is the full part number list and pictures along with the current RRP. You can verify independently on their website.

Front Right Lower(Part #201784) - £834 RRP
Front Left Lower (Part #201787) - £834 RRP
Rear Right Lower (Part #198503) - £834 RRP
Rear Left Lower (Part #198501) - £883 RRP
So RRP for the full set is £3385

I am offering these at £2885 for the full set so at £500 discount from RRP. These prices regularly move upwards so if you have a 4200, GS or Spyder then makes sense to keep a set as the lower OEM ones eventually split. The OEM items are over £1500 each (!!). I am selling these as a set of 4 (and not individually)

This doesn't include carriage. These are heavy items and I would only feel comfortable sending them insured. So if you are interested, we can discuss the carriage cost separately. You are welcome to collect or if you are within a reasonable distance - I can drop off to you. I am based near Virginia Water in Surrey.

That’s a bargain, especially considering that ES don’t have any left hand front pattern ones left.

I suppose in Maserati terms it is but the equivalent parts for a jaguar F type are under £200 each.

Wouldn't it be worth someone buying these, taking them to somewhere like William Lee in Sheffield and getting new castings made from them , or would that end up with your 4200 getting turfed off a cliff by a digger while men in black suits watched on from the cliffs.

I mean’t relatively, but I appreciate your need to point out maserati prices are expensive :)

It has been looked at before, without significant volumes, making new castings wouldn’t be much cheaper.

At risk of shooting myself in the foot, it’s also ( hopefully) unlikely you’d find yourself needing four.
I mean, >£2.8K to secure a left front lower is crazy...!:D:D

What I meant by it was if somebody is making something for a car of similar performance to retail at £200 inc vat there must be money to be made there, I can't imagine F type wishbones are big sellers but somebody is making them for under £100 a corner

Fair price, and if I were in the UK I'd be hounding SWMBO, to let me get them.

No doubt, but while they might not be big sellers, I am still happy to bet they they order them 1000 at a time, a luxury not afforded to us.

Does modern company like Jaguar realty stock 1000 spares? More likely they have regular ongoing contracts with foundry and workshops. They might call off small batches to suit demand.

They probably commit to buy, then the supplier holds the stock. That’s how I would do it anyway.

ES told me they are getting more lower left from Italy in September. So they're just temporary out of stock

The F-Type, XK and XF all use the same type type of wishbone so you can spread out the cost.

The Maserati in comparison is bespoke and the production of the M138 line is under 20,000 units. I think they’ve made far more F-Types than that since its launch in 2013.

Ask Ewan to back you , he'll probably find enough in a suit he's not worn for 10 years :D
