Chaps, what is important from my side is what we are going to organise apart from the event.. As you know i will be coming from the other side: Modena is only 3 hours from Ancona, where i will begin with my drive.

Unfortunately last year at the Monaco weekend, i came to meet you by plane due to some business trouble, and i would love to do some driving with you the next year.

One thought could be if i drive all the Riviera to meet you in Monaco, while you'll be heading down to Modena.

To colclude, i need to know what are the plans apart from C-weekend(C for centenary). So please Miles, can we write additional to the list, the preferable route/activities apart from Maserati weekend?

Absolutely Nikos.

We're still at the beginning of this whole grand adventure, and we'll be putting a planning group in place in due course to make sure it's as good as it can be. Your participation is very important, so for sure we'll be talking about the days either side of the weekend.

Now go and get your flight booked for the Christmas event!!! :D :D

Miles, i would love to meet you guys there. but i don't want to vote for my coming and reject it later. As i've told you before, it was a very tuff time back in 2012, now things are sorted, but i need to be here.

Nikos,
You know in your heart that we all want you to be with us for Xmas and if we could we would join hands and help pluck you out of Greece, whisk you through the sky like a Man God and place you in our midst for a weekend of enjoyment, we would.....instead why not book your flight buddy...???
And to answer your previous question, I am on the lookout for something, no rush, but I am looking..!!
Cheers

May I be so bold as to suggest that if people want somthing to do before or after the event, that the Italian Lakes offer some fabulous places to stay with easy connections to the Alpine Passes. This would provide a base and a place for those who want a holiday as well as partner s who may want a mountain drive.

Quite Robert...however I for one doubt I will be following the whole event if it turns oit to be a tour of Italy. I would think tbat the tour will be restricted to key vehicles from the history of the brand and invited groups...I know from personal experiance that keeping a group of cars together is a huge challange and witnessed how special events can be spoilt (mille mille for one with modern Mercedes) involvment...so for me I think I am likly to stay in North Italy for the factory event and the main square in Bologna

Me too. I'm interested in the inevitable Modena factory event, and visits to other factories too whilst in the area. No doubt there will be some event in Bologna, as the main square in Modena isn't immense, and there will be plenty of international visitors finding it much easier to arrive in Bologna.

Our current plans will be to drive down to the F1 at Monza, drive around the Alps a bit, ending up back to our place in St. Gervais for a few days, then come back through the Mont Blanc tunnel, visit the lakes for a few days, and finally stay in Modena for the weekend of 19-21. The last bit is firm, the others are somewhat more vague! There aren't many hotel rooms in Modena, btw...

Sounds like a cracking plan Robert. Let me know how you get on finding one! :D

I'd help, but I'm clearly far too poorly today, and I'm certainly not going to be suggesting to Susie that she can start looking for large country mansions in Italy... I can see that ending in significant expense.

Absolutely do that, you do not want to make yourself ill by working too hard and too long, a short break will do you good and may even give you ideas..!!
